Host Cuttack bagged a double after winning both the men`s and women`s titles in the second Bhagirathi Pradhan Memorial State Senior Softball Championship at the Ravenshaw University ground here today. In the finals, Cuttack men beat Khurda 3-2, while their women outplayed Puri Rural 19-9. Jagatsinghpur finished third in both the categories.
Altogether 50 teams, including 24 in women, participated in the three-day meet. Cuttack Collector Kishor Chandra Mohanty handed over the trophies at the closing function. Fourty probabales, including 20 women, were selected from the State for the National championship to be held later this year.
