Shuttler Eswar Rao paid hearth-touching tribute

Heart-touching ttribute was paid to former state badmintation champion A Eswar Rao on his death anniversary at HAL Indoor stadium in Sunabeda, Koraput, yesterday. A huge board, displaying portraits and achievements of the shuttler was unveiled on the occasion by HAL Executive Diretor D N Vyas. He lauded Rao``s achivements and his contribution for the game in the state. Rao had began his badminton carrier from the HAL Indoor stadium in 1980 and breathed his last in the same stadium last year. The death anniversary programme was organised by the HAL Badminton Lovers Association. HAL AGM Ashok K Aseri and Chief Manager CH Venketeswar Rao were present on the occasion.
