Bhubaneswar Football League from July 26

Fifteen teams, including defending champions Nalco and last losing finalists Directorate of Sports are set to vie for the trophy in the 6th Gatikrushna Panda Memorial Bhubaneswar Football League to be held at Unit-I Boys High School ground from July 26. Three new teams (East Coast Railway, Police Club and Chandrasekharpur Athletic Associaiton) have joined the league, which would feature a total of 28 matches, organising committee chairman Arabinda Mitra said here on Wednesday. Teams have been divided into four groups and the top two teams from each group will qualify for quarterfinals, host Bhubaneswar Athletic Association general secretary S R Parija informed. Chandrasekharpur Athletic Association will take on Capital Sports Club in the opening match on July 26. Other teams in the fray include Green Club, Paramount Sporting, Reserve Bank of India, SGO Nayapally, Unit-VI Athletic Association, Kishore Club, Brahmeswar Patana, Club-73 and State Bank of India.
