Bhubaneswar players clinched double crown by winning both the men’s singles and doubles titles in the Rourkela Open Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Steel Club in Rourkela on 16 February, 2020.
Amrutjay Mohanty emerged men’s singles champion when he defeated Rohit Rampuria in the final match 6-2, 6-2. The title triumph made Amrutjay richer by Rs 25000, while Rohit received the runner-up prize of Rs 15000.
Earlier, the men’s doubles title was captured by Bhubaneswar duo of Aditya Satpathy & Kumar Anurag Saran, who won the final against Amrutjay Mohanty and Rohit Rampuria 6-2, 6-4.
Rourkela Municipal Commissioner Divyajyoti Parida handed over the trophies and cash prizes at the presentation ceremony.
