Four universities of Odisha bagged a total 13 medals in the 1st Khelo India University Games, which was hosted by Government of Odisha at different venues in twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from 21 February to 1 March, 2020. The 13 medals featured six gold, three silver and four bronze.
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) emerged most successful among five Odisha universities in the fray, grabbing four gold, one silver and two bronze for a total of seven medals. However, the most successful Odisha university eventually secured 17th position in the final medal tally.
