Despite being a formidable state in hockey, Odisha settled with two bronze medals in the 3rd Khelo India Youth Games, which concluded at Maulana Md Tayabullah Hockey Stadium in Guwahati today. Odisha U-17 girls hockey team won the bronze on January 20, defeating hosts Assam 2-1.
Jyoti Chhatri (15th) and Ashima Rout (17th) scored the two goals for Odisha, while Milka Surin (53rd) pulled one back for Assam. Haryana claimed gold medal, beating Jharkhand 2-1 in the final.
