Medal deluge continued for Odisha in the 10th All-India Open Karate Championship as the host state captured one but all 32 medals on the second and penultimate day at East Coast Railway Indoor Stadium here today. Jharkhand stopped Odisha from making clean sweep by claming one bronze medal in the day.
The 31 medals of the day for Odisha featured eight gold, eight silver and 15 bronze. Overall, Odisha karatekas have garnered 60 out of 63 medals so far in the three-day championship. The 60 medals include 15 gold, 16 silver and 29 bronze.
Out of the eight gold medals of the day, Pusmita Sahoo pocketed two, while Aradhya Priyadarshini Parida, Sanvi Nayak, Sanvi Mohapatra, Pratyanshu Parida, Shreyanshu Shial and Sai Anshuman Amanta took home one each.
The eight silver medalists for Odisha were: Rishita Sahoo, Sai Samikhya Ghadei, Akriti Rout, Pratisruti Parida, Kabir Sahu, Sai Saranya, Samanyu Nanda and Sai Raj Behera.
The 15 bronze medalists for Odisha were bagged by Pratisruti Parida, Sai Saranya Panda, Ritika Rani Behera, Arpita Priyadarshini, Adrika Roy, Avarnaa Udgata, Risita Sahu, Ayush Ankit Swain, Baibhab Dev Paikaray, Akriti Rout, Admika Ray, Sairaj Behera, Sai Prasad Samantaray, Shaan Sakshan, Sai Prasad Samantaray.
