As many as six women and seven men have been selected to represent Odisha in the 12th National Wheelchair Fencing Championship, scheduled to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai from 26 to 28 July. 2019.
Selection of Odisha squad was done by Wheelchair Fencing Association of Odisha through a trial camp, which was held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 12 to 25 July, 2019. The squad will be accompanied by Raveen Kumar and Sunil Pradhan as coach and manager respectively.
ODISHA SQUAD:
Men: Akshaya Kumar Sahoo, Kamala Kanta Nayar (both Puri), V Ramesh Rao (Ganjam), Rakhal Kumar Sethy (Bhadrak), Pravakar Behera (Cuttack), Debamruta Sahoo (Jajpur), Prafulla Khandayatray (Jagatsinghpur).
Women: Malati Panaure, Juli Sahoo (both Khordha); Sila Mantri, Puja Nayak (both Gajapati); Madhu Manjari Dhal (Jajpur), Laxmi Patra (Bargarh).
Coach: Raveen Kumar; Manager: Sunil Pradhan
