Host Paramount Sportings-A achieved a hat-trick by emerging champions for the third successive time in the 4th Aurobinda Memorial U-15 Cricket Tournament at Paramount Sportings Ground here today. Paramount Sportings-A achieved the feat, trouncing Pragati Sporting in the lop-sided final by 186 runs.
Paramount-A player Sudarshan Swain was adjudged both best batsman and player of the tournament, while his teammate Swayam Sarthak Routray and Bidyadhar Behera were named as best bowler and best wicketkeeper respectively. The prize for best fielder went to Soumya Ranjan Moharana of Pragati Sporting.
The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and runners-up side Rs 10,000. Bhubaneswar Athletic Association secretary Sourjya Ranjan Parija, former Deputy Mayor K Shanti, Odisha Mines Corporation Director Shantanu Rath and Bhubaneswar BDO Shantanu Mohanty handed over the trophy and prizes at the presentation ceremony. Host Paramount Sportings president Pratap Jena was present on the occasion.
