Like Netherlands, Belgium came from behind to beat Germany 2-1 in the third quarterfinal earlier in the day.
After a day’s rest, semifinals will take place on December 15 with Netherlands taking on reigning champions Australia and Belgium facing England. For Belgium, it will be their first ever semifinal appearance in the World Cup. And for Netherlands, the semifinal against Kookaburras will be their third in a row and a re-match of their gold-medal match of the 2014 World Cup, held in the Hague.
