Odisha trounced hosts Tripura by 10 wickets to bag seven points on the third and last day of their Vijay Merchant Trophy East Zone U-16 league match at Police Training Academy Ground in Agartala today.
This was the first and only win in five matches for Odisha, who finished third in the zonal league table with 14 points. Bengal emerged champions with 28 points, while Jharkhand settled with 25 points.
Two players put up impressive performance for Odisha in their match against Tripura. Shresth Singh bagged five wickets for 39 runs in the first innings and eight for 71 in the match, while Bibhansu Sekhar Ray notched up a century (111 off 200 balls, 21x4, 1x6) in the first innings.
