Subrat Das retained the senior billiards title in the 25th Odisha State Billiards Championship at Cuttack Club here today. He beat his Bhubaneswar city opponent Kunal Agarwal in the exciting final by 4-3 frames. This was the eighth state senior billiards title for Das.
Earlier, Barun Kumar Naik and Abinash Mohapatra captured the state junior billiards and snooker titles respectively. Mohapatra also finished junior billiards runner-up, while Tarun Patnaik became runner-up in junior snooker.
Organised by Billiards & Snooker Association of Odisha, the championship featured 36 entries in senior snooker, seven in senior billiards, five in junior snooker and two in junior billiards events.
