Indian Women National Football Team lost all of their four matches to end campaign in the COTIF Cup International Football Tournament in Valencia, Spain today. In the last match, India lost to Madrid FC by a solitary goal.
In their earlier three matches, India went down to Fundacion Albacete 1-4, Lavante UD 5-0 and Morocco 1-5. However, before their opening match, Indian eves made short work of club side Alzira 3-1 in a friendly on July 29. Bala Devi, Dangmei Grace and Kamala Devi scored in this match.
A 20-member Indian team, including two from Odisha (Manisha Panna and Jabamani Tudu) participated in this tournament, which was first held in 2012. This was the first time ever that the Senior Women team went to Europe to participate in a tournament.
The exposure tour was arranged by All India Football Federation AIFF in coordination with Sports Authority of India keeping in mind the crucial Olympic Qualifiers which are slated to be held in November 2018.

August 1: India (Kamala Devi 9-P’), lost to Fundacion Albacete (29’,47’,60’,65’) 1-4.
August 3: India lost to Lavante UD 0-5.
August 5: India (Santhiya 42’) lost to Morocco 1-5.
August 6: India lost to Madrid FC 0-1.
