A five- wicket haul by left-arm spinner Shuva Sanket Dhal and an unbeaten half-century by Girija Mishra powered host Town Club to a 148 run win over Mukteswar Cricket Club in the Inter-Club Cricket Series at Town Club ground here in Old Town today. This was the second win for Town Club, who beat Pioneer Club, Puri by 40 runs earlier on May 22.
Electing to bat, Town Club piled up a healthy total of 270 for six in the stipulated 40 overs. In reply, MCC were bowled out for 122. Shuva Sanket Dhal was adjudged man of the match and he received the prize from eminent athletics coach Arun Kumar Das.
Town Club Sports Secretary Manoj Mohapatra was present on the occasion. Town Club will meet Sahid Sporting Club in the third match of the series tomorrow.
