Bengaluru FC win 1st pro football game in Odisha

Bengaluru FC beat Jamshedpur FC 2-0 in a crucial Indian Super League (ISL) match here at Kalinga Stadium today. This was the first professional football match in Odisha, which attracted a sizeable crowed to the well-decorated Kalinga Stadium.

With this win Bengaluru FC not only consolidated their position at the top of the points table but also dealt a serious blow to Jamshedpur FC`s hopes of securing a playoff spot of the tournament. Though the Jamshedpur FC adopted Kalinga Stadium as their second home venue and spend large amount for its development, the defeat certainly came as a disappointment.

Miku gave visitors the lead 23 minutes into the game from the spot. After being put through on goal, the Spanish striker, who has been in top form this season was brought down inside the box by Jamshedpur FC goalkeeper Subrata Paul. He dusted himself and calmly slotted the ball past Paul.
