Host Amateur Cricket Club (ACC) were crowned champions in the 4th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter-Club Cricket Tournament, drubbing Jagatpur Athletic Association (JAA) by nine wickets in the final at Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) ground in Cuttack today.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament, which commenced earlier on April 15. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and the runners-up Rs 5,000.
RESULTS:
April 15 (Match No 1, QF): Jagatpur Athletic Association 219/2 in 20 overs (Anurag Kanojia 100, Jyoti Ranjan Dalai 93) beat BOSE Engineering College 91/10 in 18.5 overs (Mahaprasad Acharya 3/26, Anurag Kanojia 2/8, Deepak Rout 2/18) by 128 runs. MoM: Anurag Kanojia.
