Indian marathon runner completes 83rd race

India``s 76-year-old marathon runner Ashis Roy has completed his 83rd long distance run, finishing third in the 75 plus age group in the Grandmas Marathon at Duluth, Minnesota (USA). Roy, who has already run two marathons in us this year -- the Atlanta Marathon on March 30 and Delaware Marathon on May 18 -- finished the 26.2 mile route in six hours and 20 minutes yesterday. Roy, a long distance runner from Delhi, plans to complete 100 marathons before he attains the age of 80 years. In his long career, roy also registered a number of records by his name. His name has also been inscribed in the Lima Book of World Records to have run in 83 marathons, the highest ever till date by any Indian.
