Odisha off to flying start in Senior Women NFC

Host Odisha crushed Gujarat 10-0 to make a whirlwind start in 23rd Senior Women National Football Championship at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack today. Among Odisha scorers, Pyari Xaxa fired five, Sinulata Sahoo struck thrice and Menaka Malik netted twice.

Odisha will play Gujarat again on February 2 to confirm their place in the quarterfinals. The Championship is to conclude on February 14. Goalkeeper Tikina Samal is leading the 20-member state team in this championship.
