Banki College, Cuttack emerged champions in the Utkal University Women’s Kho-kho Tournament, which concluded here at Vani Vihar today. In the lop-sided final, Banki College beat BPEd team of District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Narasinghpur, Cuttack by an innings and eight points.
Earlier in the semifinals, Banki College crushed Narasingha Choudhury College, Jajpur by an innings and 12 points, while BPED of DIET Narasinghpur edged out Government College of Physical Education, Bhubaneswar by two points.
The tournament was organised by Utkal University Sports Council (UUSC). Trophies to the champion and runners-up teams were given away by UUSC Director Prof Kabir Mohan Sethi. UUSC Sports Officer Ambika Prasad Ray was present on the occasion.
