A 27-member Odisha squad achieved modest success, bagging one silver and two bronze medals in the 26th National Senior Wushu Championship, which was held at Assam Rifles Complex, Laitkor, Shilong (Meghalaya) from Oct 10 to 15, 2017.
Dibyalochan Pradhan won the silver medal in chang quan event, while Jitendra Kumar and Niki Kumari Khuswa secured the two bronze medals in nan dao and nan gun events respectively. The Odisha squad was consisted of eight female and 19 male players. Pankaj Mohanty accompanied the squad as manager.
Wushu Association of Odisha secretary Pradyumna Behera was the chief referee of the championship. Odisha officials Sarat Das and Nabin Singh were involved in the conduct of the national meet.
