Odisha’s performance in National Basketball Championships continued to be disappointing as both the boys and girls teams of the state failed to secure a place among top finishers in the 44th Sub Junior National Championship, which was held at Bangour College stadium in Didwana, Rajasthan from October 8 to 14.
Playing in Level-I, Odisha boys lost all four league matches they played in Group B. Odisha girls were a little better as they won one and lost two in Level-II Group-F league. Odisha Basketball Association did not even think it necessary to announce the state teams. But according to unofficial sources, following players represent Odisha boys and girls teams. Rajasthan boys and Tamil Nadu girls were crowned champions in the week-long event.
