Leading Odisha player Ansu Kumar Bhuyan bagged a double by winning both the men’s singles and doubles titles in the Sri Chandra Sekhar Memorial All-India Ranking Tennis Tournament, held at Pataliputra Tennis Centre in Patna from March 27 to April 1, 2017.
Bhubaneswar lad Ansu won the singles crown, outplaying Amit Bazad in the final 6-0, 6-4. He completed the double crown, adding the doubles title with Bihar partner Sekhar Jaiswal. In the doubles summit clash, Ansu and Sekhar prevailed over Amit Bazad and Abhiveer Shekhawat 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (9-7).
Organised by Bihar Lawn Tennis Association, the tournament carried a total prize fund of Rs 50,000.
