Vijay Khandelwal became the new president of Baseball Association of Odisha (BAO) for period of four years, replacing Cuttack Barabati MLA Debasis Samantaray in the election of the state body held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack earlier on March 12. However, Sibananda Pradhan retained his post as secretary.
Pankaj Lochan Mohanty also retained his post as senior vice-president. Similarly, Gyana Ranjan Parida, Tadit Kumar Rout stayed as vice-presidents. In a couple of reshufflings, organizing secretary Anjan Kumar Khuntia and working presidents were elected as new vice-presidents. In another change, Manas Ranjan Swain replaced Debabrata Nayak as treasurer.
Subash Chandra Swain retained his post as joint secretary. It may be mentioned here that BAO had conducted its previous elections on October 2, 2011 after a gap of five years.
