East Coast Railway emerged champions in the 31st Inter-State Lalmony Cricket Tournament, which was organised by Sonepur District Cricket Association at Gandhi Field in Sonpur from Jan 25 to Feb 1, 2017. East Coast Railway achieved a hat-trick by winning the tournament for the third year in a row.
In the final, which was decided via super overs, East Coast Railway beat South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA), Ranchi. The super-over rule was applied after both the teams won one match each.
East Coast Railway won the T20 match, while SERSA restored parity by winning the T10 game.
Sonepur Collector Dasharathi Satpathy handed over the trophy and cash prizes in the closing function. Prasant Sahoo (ECoR), Ajay Madhukar (SERSA), Rajkishan Patel (SERSA) and Rishav (Youth Sports) were adjudged the man of the final match, best batsman, best bowler and best wicketkeeper respectively.

Feb 1 (Final):
T20: East Coast Railway 154 in 20 overs (Prasant Sahoo 54, Samir Mohanty 25, Ankit Yadav 20*; Rajkishan Patel, Pawan Kumar each 3 wkts) beat SERSA, Ranchi 143 in 20 overs (Bikash Choudhury 35, Amit Kumar 26; Ankit Yadav 4 wkts, Prasant Sahoo 3 wkts) by 11 runs.
T10: East Coast Railway 68 in 10 overs (Tarun Sha, Rajkishan Patel, Labyam Rajpur, Nabnit Jha each 2 wkts) lost to SERSA, Ranchi 69 in 9 overs (Mohammad Wasim 32).
Super over: SERSA, Ranchi 19 runs, lost to East Coast Railway, 20 runs.
Jan 31 (2nd SF):
T20: Youth Sports (Delhi) 140/9 in 20 overs (Nitish Kumar 35, Prabesh Kumar 30, Deeepak 23; Jayant Behera 4/9) lost to East Coast Railway 141/7 in 18.5 overs (Girija Rout 58*, Lagnajit Samal 30; Nitish Kumar, Munawar each 2 wkts) by 3 wkts.
T10: Youth Sports 93 in 10 overs (Saifulla 26, Javed 23, Jitendra Kumar 21; Rakesh Mohanty, Ankit Yadav each 2 wkts) lost to East Coast Railway 94/3 in 9.3 overs (Rakesh Mohanty 54, Girija Rout 20*) by 7 wkts.
