Delhi University emerged champion in the 10th KIIT Premier League (KPL) All-India Inter-University T-20 Cricket Tournament, defeating Al-Falah University by 42 runs in the all-Delhi final match at KIIT Cricket Stadium here today. Rajesh Sharma of Delhi University hit an unbeaten century to pocket the man of the match prize of Rs 6,000.
This was the sixth title triumph for Delhi University and they received a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh. Runners-up Al-Falah University became richer by Rs 1 lakh. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada finished third, beating host KIIT University by two wickets in another match of the day. JNTU took home a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while KIIT University settled with the fourth prize of Rs 25,000.
