Both Hockey Odisha and Hockey Gangpur Odisha crashed out in the quarterfinals of the 7 th Hockey India Sub-junior Women National Championship (Division-A), losing to Hockey Chandigarh and Hockey Jharkhand respectively at Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu today.
The two Odisha teams reached the last-eight round by winning all four of their respective group league matches. Ajmina Kujur and Philicia Toppo led Hockey Odisha and Hockey Gangpur-Odisha teams respectively in this championship.
Altogether 20 teams participated in this championship. Hockey Odisha were placed in Pool-B along with Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Bihar. Hockey Gangpur-Odisha were put in Pool-D along with Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Bengal.
