Preparation goes on in full swing for Cuttack ODI

Preparation is going on in full swing for hosting the Paytm 2nd One-Day International cricket match between India and England at Barabati Stadium here on 19th January, Odisha Cricket Association Hony Secretary Asirbad Behera said at a press conference today. Elaborating on the arrangements made till date for successful staging of the he informed that online sale of tickets will start on January 2.

Both the teams will be arriving at Bhubaneswar on 18th of January at 1.30 pm in chattered flight and leave for Kolkata on 20th January at 2.00 pm. The match will be started at 1.30 pm and gates will be opened for the general public three hours before the match. Vendors will be allowed to go inside one hour before the match.

ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORTATION:
BCCI has reserved rooms at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar for accommodation of teams, match official and other key persons. For the transportation of both the teams and match officials, we have booked two Volvo A/C coaches of OSRTC, which will be stationed at BBSR and hand over to the police one day before the arrival of the team for necessary security check-up.

TICKETING:
The entire ticketing of this ODI match has been entrusted to Bengaluru based company, Sun Sports Pvt Ltd. For the safety purpose, they will be printing tickets outside the state with inclusion of holograms, bar code, and other security features. As agreed they will provide adequate numbers of ticket validators for outer gate and `May I help you’ manpower for ushering spectators at inner gate and supervisors to oversee the management.

About 1500 duty passes are to be provided to persons and service providers assigned for different duties for smooth and successful conduct of the ODI. Further, 500 vehicle passes (four wheelers and two wheelers) are also to be provided to the dignitaries, invitees, match officials, persons on duty and representatives of electronic and print media for easy access to the venue. All the above accreditation cards will be printed by our appointed agencies Sun Sports Pvt Ltd.

PARKING ZONES:
To facilitate parking of vehicles for VIPs, dignitaries, judges, BCCI officials, OCA members and media persons we have created separate parking zones.
1.  General spectators: Baliyatra Ground (Upper and lower)
2.  OCA members and other dignitaries: Odisha Cricket Academy through Gate No 1
3.  Media-persons: Cambridge School campus
4.  Judges, BCCI officials, match referee, umpires, teams, OCA officials and guests: St Xavier’s School campus through Gate No 14

ONLINE SALE OF TICKETS:
For the convenience of the public, 8,310 tickets of different denominations will be sold online by Sun Sports Pvt Ltd, through their website www.get2thegames.com from 2nd to 15th January. Redemption of e-tickets will happen on 16th, 17th and 18th January from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm at Cambridge School counter, near Barabati Stadium.

PUBLIC SALE OF TICKETS:
Tickets will be sold to the general public by OCA bankers, State Bank of India, Main Branch, Cuttack. The bank will also sell the tickets to OCA office-bearers; council members, affiliated units, associate members and quota tickets of the BCCI affiliated units and sponsors on 14th and 15th January from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm at OCA Conference Hall, Barabati Stadium.

Ticket will be sold to general public through three separate counters on 16th and 17th January from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. One person will be allowed to purchase only two tickets irrespective of any denomination. Tickets can be purchased by bank drafts, debit cards or cash. But the cash transaction limit is only up to Rs 2,000. CCTV cameras will be installed in each ticket counter which shall be regulated by the Officer In-Charge, Cantonment Police Station.

SEATING ARRANGEMENT:
OCA has made adequate seating arrangement for Governor and Chief Minister of Odisha, Chief Justice, Orissa High Court, other judges and other dignitaries of the State at BCCI Box and Corporate Box. OCA members and media-persons will be accommodated as usual at Old Pavilion 2nd Floor and Press Box respectively.

Seats of various stands including the galleries will be numbered. Sufficient signage indicating row-wise seat numbers will be displayed and required number of special squad will be engaged to guide the ticket-holders. Hence, every ticket holders will find it easy to get their seats according to the row and seat number printed on the tickets.

The present seating capacity of Barabati Stadium is 43,829. The total numbers of tickets is 32,403 out of which 22,041 tickets (13,731 for counter sale and 8,310 for online sale) are for public sale and 10,362 tickets for BCCI sponsors, members and affiliated units of OCA and BCCI. The tickets left unsold from the reserve categories shall be made available for public sale.

HOSPITALITY:
OCA has earmarked the New Pavilion, Corporate Box and A/C Box as the hospitality area, where the state body will provide the occupants with food and beverage.

INSURANCE:
OCA has insured the ground and other property along with the spectators (public) with National Insurance Co Ltd for the ensuing ODI for Rs 21,71,70,000, which include Rs 8 crores for standard fire and perils policy, Rs 7 crores for public liability insurance (Spectators and visitors) and Rs 6,71,70,000 for special contingency insurance policy.

VENUE OPERATION CENTRE:
Space for Venue Operation Centre with an unimpeded view of the entire ground has been earmarked for occupation during the match by the Stadium Security Manager, the Police Personnel In-Charge of the Stadium, the officers of the Fire Department and Medical Manager.

CCTV:
The CC cameras will also operate at ticket counters to be regulated by Officer In-Charge, Cantonment Police Station. Adequate arrangement for installation of CCTV have been made at all the entrance points of the stadium, dressing rooms and all the stands inside the stadium, so that every movement will be properly observed and recorded and the system of monitoring would be conducted from the central control room by the DCP, Cuttack.

GATE CONTROL:
OCA has decided to install close circuit cameras in each gate for easy monitoring of the movement of guests and spectators by DCP, Cuttack. OCA has recruited sufficient private security forces to assist the police to manage gate, traffic and other security points on the match day. On the match day, the gates will be opened at three hours before the commencement of the match.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION:
For the coverage of the match media persons are required to apply to the BCCI directly through the link https://acs.bookmyshow.com/BCCI/PlayOffs/frmMediaSigninPlayOffs.aspx as per BCCI guidelines. The accreditation cards received from BCCI will be issued to media persons on 16th and 17th January (11.00 am to 6.00 pm daily) at the Media Centre (FAO office), Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

FIRE BRIGADE:
As per mandatory safety measures, four fire brigade units will be stationed at the stadium at different locations. Adequate no of fire extinguishers will also be installed around the stadium and fire fighters will be deployed across the stadium.

MEDICAL EXIGENCY PLAN:
As per the guidelines of the BCCI, OCA has selected Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack and Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar having trauma centre and well equipped with the latest facilities of emergency supported by well-qualified doctors and staff. A room in each hospital has been booked for the above ODI. Besides above a room close to the Players Dressing Room has been set up with all medical equipment. A fully equipped ambulance with staff will be kept ready during practice sessions and on match day exclusively for the team and match officials. For the benefit of the spectators a fully equipped ambulance with staff will be stationed at Gandhi Gate near Barabati Guest House to meet any eventualities.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPECTATORS:
The detail instructions for spectators for the match as mentioned below will be printed on the backside of the tickets as per BCCI Guidelines. However, OCA will also display through signage for wide publication of the spectators prior to the match day.

1. Children above the age of three years require valid tickets for entry.
2. Spectators to be instructed not to carry transistors, mirrors, bugles, crackers, glass, helmets etc with them while entering the stadium stands.
3. Throwing any objects in and on the ground is strictly prohibited and person(s) found doing so, will be handed over to police.
4. Spectators to be cautioned not to indulge in anti-racial activities/comments etc. Persons doing so shall be expelled out of the stadium and dealt with in accordance with law.
5. Spectators will not be allowed to bring with them fruits, water pouch and water bottle.

OCA has installed sufficient number of taps in all the stands to provide drinking water to the spectators. In addition to that the state body has decided to keep minimum of five water jars in every stand with disposable glasses.

As regards food, sufficient number of food stalls will be installed in every stand. The price of the food item will be very reasonable as decided in the RDC Preparatory Meeting. As an extra precautionary measure, to protect the field of play from throwing any objects, OCA has erected nets in all the stands.

The ground and pitch preparation is in progress. Different Sub-Committees have already been formed to look after the individual unit works. Overall, preparation for the ODI match is going on in full swing.
