Host Birla Global Institute (BGI) bagged a double by winning both the men and women team titles in the Utkal University Inter-College Table Tennis Tournament, which was held at the BGI Indoor Complex here today.
As many as 37 paddlers, including eight women from 12 colleges participated in this tournament. BGI men beat DAV School of Management 3-2 in the men’s final, while their women team got the better of Maharishi College of Natural Law in the summit clash by identical margin.
Utkal University Sports Council Director Prof Jayant Kumar Parida gave away the prizes in the closing ceremony. GBI Director Dr P K Nayak was present on the occasion.
