Hokey Odisha finished fourth in the 6th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship (Division-A) when they lost to Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy 1-2 in the play-off match at Bangalore today. Railways won the title, defeating Punjab in the final 3-1. Earlier in the semifinals, Hockey Odisha were beaten by Hockey Punjab.
Led by Ambika Toppo, Hockey Odisha reached semifinals by topping Pool-B with two wins and a draw. They they beat Hockey Jharkhand 1-0, Hockey Madhya Pradesh 3-2 and drew with Hockey Bhopal 1-1. As many as 16 teams participated in this championship. Teams have been divided into four pools and after completion of pool league matches the top team from each pool will advanced to the semifinals.

April 25: Hockey Odisha (Elin Lakra 49th) beat Hockey Jharkhand 1-0.
April 26: Hockey Odisha (Birajini Ekka 20th, Suravi Pradhan 50th, Nil Projita Majhi 58th) beat Hockey Madhya Pradesh (Neha Rawat 32nd, Ramngaihzauali Ralte 48th) 3-2.
April 28: Hockey Odisha (Birajini Ekka 32nd) drew with Hockey Bhopal (Shivai Bisht 60th) 1-1.
May 1: MP Hockey Academy (Ishika Chaudhary 12th, Karishma Singh 19th) beat Hockey Odisha (Asmita Barla 40th) 2-1.
