Odisha teenagers Kabir Hans and Ruruparna Choudhury bagged a total of three titles in the BTA-AITA Under-16 Championship Series Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Bengal Tennis Association Tennis Complex in Kolkata today.
Bhubaneswar lad Kabir bagged a double by emerging champion in both the singles doubles events. He defeated Rishav Brahma from Assam in the boys singles final 6-1, 6-3. In doubles final Kabir and his partner Anurag Agarwal prevailed over West Bengal-Andhra Pradesh combination of Dhananjay Govind and Ch Sree Harshit 6-2, 6-4.
Rutuparna, also from Bhubaneswar, won the girls singles crown by getting the better of Rupkatha Mukherjee of West Bengal in the final 6-0, 6-1.
