As many as 75 competitors from 11 districts participated in the 6th State Junior, Master & Physically Challenged Bodybuilding Championship, which was held at Utkal Karate School here today. Competition took place in nine categories and top three finishers in each category qualified to represent Odisha in the National Bodybuilding Championship, scheduled to be held at Khamam (Telangana).
Dilip Kumar Samantray, Managing Director, Angul-Sukinda Railway Project, gave away the prizes in the presence of Odisha State Bodybuilding Association president Chitta Ranjan Swain, secretary Prasanna Mahasuara, Utkal Karate School founder Hari Prasad Pattanayak, Asian judge Babuli Swain and National judge Tarun Chatterjee.
RESULTS:
Junior: 55kg: 1. Nitesh Kumar Barik (Mayurbhanj), 2. Rajesh Kumar Padhi (Puri), 3. Nabajyoti Pradhan (Mayurbhanj). 60kg: 1. S Krishnarao, 2. Sanjib Mohapatra (Puri), 3. Narayan Barik (Bhubaneswar). 65kg: 1. Satya Ranjan Panda (Mayurbhanj), 2. Ashok Behera (Ganjam), 3. Krishna Mohapatra (Bhubaneswar). 70kg: 1. Somanath Patra (Puri), 2. Subhranshu Sekhar Jena (Puri), 3. Rehman Nayak (Khurda). 75kg: 1 Satya Ranjan Behera (Khurda), 2. Sujit Kumar Jena (Puri), 3. Satyajit Ojha (Balasore). Above 75kg: 1. Rashmi Ranjan Sahu (Bhubaneswar), 2. Satish Huda (Puri), 3. Master Miran (Puri).
Master: 40-50 years: 1. Jitendra Kumar Mohanty (Bhubaneswar), 2. Rabi Das (Cuttack). 50-60 years: 1. Manoj Das (Balasore), 2. Kartikeswar Jena (Bhubaneswar), 3. Narayan Sethi (Cuttack).
Physically challenged: 1. Gadadhar Sahu (Ganjam).
