Host Odisha suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Karnataka in their last Group-D match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Tournament at Barabati Stadium here today. This was the fifth defeat in a row for Odisha and they finished at the bottom of the table, unable to secure any point.
Batting first Odisha were able to post a modest total of 102 thanks to a 34-ball 31 by in-form Abhishek Yadav. Karnataka then rode on a 41-ball 48 by Robin Uthappa to overhaul the target in 17.5 overs. Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai registered wins in respective matches of the day.
