Mumbai beat host Odisha by six wickets with 13 balls to spare in their opening Group-D match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Inter-State T20 match at Barabati Stadium here today. Put into bat Odisha were bowled out for 91. Mumbai overhauled the target in 15.5 overs, losing four wickets.
Making his T20 debut for Odisha, middle-order batsman Abhishek Yadav became the top scorer with 33 runs. Allrounder Tukuna Sahu was another Odisha player to make his T20 debut. Odisha will play their second match against Uttar Pradesh at Barabati Stadium tomorrow.
In two other Group-D matches of the day, Services upset Karnataka by three wickets at Barabati Stadium, while Uttar Pradesh prevailed over Maharashtra by seven wickets at DRIEMS Ground, Tangi.
