Panposh Sports Hostel Juniors and Kahupani emerged champions in professional and rural categories respectively in the 1st Inter-City Gold Cup Hockey Tournament, which concluded here at Panposh Sports Hostel ground today. In the professional final Panposh Sports Hostel Juniors beat SAIL Academy 6-5 in penalty shoot out to receive the top prize of Rs 25,555. Runners-up SAIL Academy took home Rs 21,111.
In the rural final, Kahupani beat beat Dhoribahal 6-2 to bag the top prize of Rs 15,555. Runners-up Dhoribahal received Rs 11,111. Kukuda beat Joketa 5-2 to finish third and pocket a cash prize of Rs 5,555. Deepak Kujur (Dhoribalal) was adjudged the man of the match. Anand Kiro (Kahupani) and Abhisek Horo (Kukuda) were adjudged best player and best goalkeeper in the rural tournament.
