Subrat Das (Bhubaneswar) beat Jeet Kishore Das (Cuttack) by 6-2 frames in the final to pocket the title in the 1st All-Odisha Open Snooker Tournament, which concluded at Golden King Snooker Centre in Cuttack today.
Subrat received the top prize of Rs 10,000, while Jeet settled with the runner-up prize of Rs 5,000. The two losing semifinalists were given Rs 2,000 each, while the four losing quarterfinalists became richer by Rs 1,000 each. Gyana Ranjan Behera of Golden King Snooker Centre was instrumental in organizing the tournament.
RESULTS: Quarter finals: Subrat Das beat Rumit Gupta 4-1; Akash Mahapatra beat Satyadeep Das 4-2; Jeet Kishore Das beat Khalid Sultan 4-2; Anuj Panda beat Chirag Arora 4-2. Semi finals: Subrat Das beat Anuj Panda 5-0; Jeet Kishore Das beat Akash Mahapatra 5-0. Final: Subrat Das beat Jeet Kishore Das 6-2.
