Host Biswabharati Club emerged champions in the Pradipta Memorial State Level Inter-Club Cricket Tournament, defeating city opponents Rising Student Club in the final by 42 runs at SCB Medical ground here today. Former Odisha batsman Rashmi Ranjan Das starred in the victory, hitting a 55-ball 98.
The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and the runners-up Rs 20,000. Odisha Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera handed over the trophy. Biswabharati Cricket Club secretary Soumitra Choudhury was present on the occasion.
