Assam boy Udit Gogoi and Odisha girl Rutuparna Choudhury bagged double crowns in the AITA-OTPPA Championship Series Tennis Tournament, which concluded at KIIT campus here today. Unseeded Udit won the under-12 boys` singles title, beating local favourite and second seed Amrutjay Mohanty in the final that went to full distance and then completed the double by winning the under-14 boys` doubles final with Amrutjay as partner.
Local favourite and top seed Rutuparna, who had claimed the under-14 girls` doubles crown with statemate Ameek Kiran Batth earlier yesterday, clinched the double crown, adding the singles title in the same age group, outplaying Andhra Pradesh opponent Anjum Shaik Musharat in straight sets.
