Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) emerged champions in the All-India Public Sector Volleyball Tournament, trouncing Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) in the final by 3-0 sets at S&P Complex, Nalconagar, Angul yesterday.
Altogether eight PSUs participated in the three-day tournament, which was organised by National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO). Coal India, Oil India, BSNL, Neyvalli Lignite, BHEL and Nalco were the other six teams in the fray.
NALCO Executive Director Sanjib Roy handed over the trophy in the presence of AGMs C R Sahu, S Tarai and former India cricketers Debasish Mohanty and Shiv Sundar Das.
