Hockey Odisha crash out of Sub-junior Women National

Hockey Odisha crashed out of the 4th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship (Division A), losing to Chandigarh Olympic Association 1-2 in their last Pool D match at Pune today. With this win, Chandigarh joined Haryana, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh in the semifinals.

Earlier Hockey Odisha made a flying start, trouncing Bengal Hockey Association 30-0 and Hockey Assam 18-1. But the two huge wins went in vain as they went down fighting to Chandigarh.

May 20 (Match No 1): Hockey Odisha (Elima Minz 1st, 4th, 12th, 20th, 32nd, 34th, 41st, 49th, 62nd, 67th; Mariana Kujur 2nd, 5th, 18th, 31st, 39th, 60th, 65th, 70th; Sarojini Ekka 16th, 45th, 47th, 50th, 58th, 68th; Ashim Kanchan Barla 35th, 57th, 66th; Dipti Lakra 15th, 69th; Priyanka Kujur 52nd) beat Bengal Hockey Association 30-0.
May 22 (Match No 2):
Hockey Odisha (Elima Minz 29, 31, 38, 45; Sarojini Ekka 22, 25, 69; Marjana Kujur 47, 48, 62; Priyanka Kujur 9, 60; Ashim Kanchan Barla 28, 51; Rashmita Ekka 14; Dipti Lakra 40; Priyanka Ekka 53; Ashmita Barla 54) beat Assam Hockey 18-1 (Milka Surin 31).
May 24 (Match No 3: Chandigarh Olympic Association (Shalu Mann 13, Lakhwinder Kaur 57) beat Hockey Odisha (Elima Minz 63).
