Odisha thrashed Tripura by six wickets to make a winning start in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy East Zone T20 Tournament at Jadavpur University ground in Kolkata today. The convincing win fetched Odisha four points, while Tripura drew blank.
Left-arm spinner Jayant Behera and allrounder Paresh Patel put up impressive performance for Odisha. The former bagged three wickets for 22 runs, while the latter hit a 37-ball 43 with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.
Put into bat, Tripura were bowled out for 116 in 19.5 overs. Odisha overhauled the target with six wickets and one over to spare.
