Dehil-based Odia shooter Shriyanka Sadangi added yet another feather to her cap by winning a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle junior women team event of the 7th Asian Airgun Shooting Championship, held in Kuwait from March 9 to 12.
The gold and silver medals in the event were claimed by China and Iran respectively. Anjum Mudgal and Elizabeth Koshy were other two members of the bonze-winning Indian junior team. Shriyanka, who hails from Sambalpur, finished seventh in the individual event. The Asian championship took place from March 9 to 12.
This was the 12th international medal for Shriyanka, who has been training at Khel Ratna Awardee Gagan Narang’s shooting academy `Gun for Glory’ at Pune.
