Hockey Odisha men experience mixed luck

Hockey Odisha continued to experience mixed luck in 4th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship when they made mince meat of Bhopal 4-0 in their Pool C match at at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Lucknow today.
This was the second win in four matches for Hockey Odisha, who earlier beat Karnataka 3-1. Hockey Odisha lost two matches as well by going down to host Uttar Pradesh 2-5 and Jharkhand 0-3. Led by David Minz, the 18-member Odisha team features four internationals in Innocent Kullu, Suresh Toppo, Bipin Kerketta and Aman Mirash Tirkey.

Uttar Pradesh (Diwakar Ram 33rd, 54th, 64th; Amir Khan 10th, Ajit Pandey 44th) beat Hockey Odisha (Amon Mirash Tirkey 48th, Joseph Toppo 61st) 5-2.
March 13: Hockey Odisha (Amon Mirash Tirkey 12th, Deepak Kullu 56th, Dispan Tirkey 60th) beat Karnataka (Biddappa BS 24th) 3-1.
March 15: Jharkhand (Prakash Kerketta 48th, Markus Topno 53th, Anup Topno 58th) beat Hockey Odisha 3-0.
March 17: Odisha (Dilip Toppo 17th, Joseph Toppo 44th, Rajin Kandula 52nd, Pawan Malik 68th) beat Bhopal 4-0.
