Khurda women won the team title, bagging five gold and two silver medals in the State Weightlifting Championship, held at Berahampur earlier on February 23, Khurda District Weightlifting Association president Chitta Ranjan Swain informed today.
Jhili Dalabehera (48kg), Pramila Kirsani (53kg), Swarupa Purty (58kg), Kiran Kumari Digal (63kg) and Rosani Tandi (69kg) secured a gold each, while Jhuni Mandal (53kg) and Subhasmita Mohanty (63kg) claimed a silver medal each in the one-day competition.
The Khurda squad was accompanied by coach Padmini Mohanty and manager Chandra Shekhar Sahu.
