Odisha bagged 10 medals in the East Zone Trap Shooting Championship, held at Midnapore (West Bengal) from January 29 to February 2, 2014. According to media report, based on information given by Orissa Rifle Association informed, the medals included three gold, four silver and three bronze.
Prakash Kumar Sahoo, Pramod Kumar Sahoo and Diganta Jyoti Patnaik won the gold in men`s singles trap team event and a silver and silver in double trap team event. Suchismita Patra and Pragnyasu Sahoo secured a silver in women`s team event.
In individual events, Pramod Sahoo grabbed one gold each in veteran single and double trap and a bronze in men`s singles trap. Prakash Sahoo picked up a silver men`s single trap and Suchismita Patra pocketed a bronze in women`s single trap.
