Andhra secured three points by virtue of taking a first-innings lead of 158 runs against hosts Odisha in their four-day Plate-B Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 match, which ended in draw at Ravenshaw University ground here today.
In reply to Odisha’s respectable first innings total of 317, Andhra declared at 475 for three. Odisha were 89 for four in the second innings when both the captains agreed to split points. Subhranshu Senapati shone in the match for Odisha, missing a century by six runs in the first innings, remaining unbeaten on 30 in the second essay and picking up two wickets.
But Andhra batsman asserted supremacy in the match with K Ashwin Hebbar and R Surajpreetam hitting unbeaten on 250 and 164 respectively.
