Asif Haque of Reserve Bank of India bagged a double by winning both the youth boys` and men`s singles titles in the Inter-District & State Table Tennis Championship, which concluded at TT Academy Indoor Hall in Angul today.
Samartha Prusty (Bhubaneswar) won the women`s singles title by finishing at the top of the league table, while Pousali Ghatak (AG Odisha) ended runner-up. Saloni Patnaik, Sripad Nayak, Suryosmita Aparajita, Janmenjay Moharana, Anjali Agrawal and Bikash Singh grabbed the other six singles titles in different categories, while the lone doubles crown was claimed by M Iswar and K Kartik in junior boys` section.
AG Odisha, represented by D Debadutta Mohanty, Sagar Ghatge, Kallol Ganguly and KVP Rama Rao, claimed the men`s team title, defeating Cuttack `A`, represented by Tousif Haque, Tohid Haque, Md Azhar and Digant Parida in the final 3-2.
In Junior boys` team championship, Cuttack `A` took the title, edging out Rourkela Steel Plant 3-2. K Kartik, M Eshawar Rao T Shiva represented the champion team, while the runners-up team included Bikash Singh, Janmajay Moharana, Bikash Behera and Harish Bagh.
Angul Collector Ranjit Kumar Mohanty, Angul Municipality Chairman Akshaya Kumar Samant, NTPC General Manager (Maintainance) U K Dasgupta, Nalco Executive Director Sanjib Kumar Ray, Odisha State Table Tennis Association secretary R K Parida and Angul District Athletic Association secretary Nilamani Rout handed over the trophies at the closing function. As many as 263 players, including 39 girls from 14 districts and six institutions joined the four-day championship.

Cadet girls` singles: Saloni Patnaik (Khurda) bt Bhagyashree Moharana (Khurda) 3-0 (11-9, 11-9, 11-9).
Cadet boys` singles: Sripad Nayak (KIIT Int School) bt Abinash Tripathy (Khurda) 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-7).
Sub-junior girls` singles: Suryosmita Aparajita (BBSR) bt Nikita Patnaik (BBSR) 4-2 (9-11, 5-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-4, 11-8).
Sub-junior boys` singles: Janmenjay Moharana (RSP) bt Satya Sunder Bhuyan (Khurda) 4-1 (11-8, 11-7, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9).
Junior girls` singles: Anjali Agrawal (BBSR) bt Ankita Senapati (BBSR) 4-1 (11-9, 7-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-8).
Junior boys` singles: Bikash Singh (RSP) bt Sarthak Mishra (BBSR) 4-0 (12-10, 11-6, 14-12, 11-5).
Junior boys` doubles: M Iswar-K Kartik (Cuttck) bt Sarthak Mishra-Kishan Prusty (BBSR 3-0).
Women`s singles: Samartha Prusty (BBSR) champion, Pousali Ghatak (AG Odisha) runner-up.
Youth boys` singles: Asif Haque bt Saswat Samal (Khurda) 4-1 (13-11, S11-4, 11-8, 6-11, 11-6).
Men`s singles: Asif Haque (Reserve Bank) bt Mohammad Azhar (Cuttack) 4-2 (11-9, 11-9, 12-10, 7-11, 7-11, 11-1).
