Odisha`s Bikash Kumar Jena and Muna Murmu have been included in the 12-member Indian team for two ranking tournaments of the Asian Seven Series to be held at Bangkok (Thailand) and Mumbai. These tournaments will serve as the qualifier for the 2014 Asian Games in Korea.
Led by Hrishikesh Pendse, the Indian team will first participate in the second ranking tournament at Bangkok on September 21 and 22. Manas Kumar Jena, also from Odisha, will accompany the team as coach.
After their return from Bangkok, the members of the Indian team will join a training camp at Delhi from September 25 to October 10 for the third ranking tournament, which would take place at Mumbai on October 12 and 13. Of the Odisha duo, Jena is serving in Indian Army, while Murmy is doing his graduation in arts at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here.
