Host Angul district won the overall title, bagging a total of 40 medals in the 1st Odisha State Muaythai Championship, which concluded at Talcher yesterday. The medals included 12 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze.
Keonjhar (10 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze) and Balasore (5 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze) finished second and third with 13 and 8 medals respectively. Around 15 martial artists from eight districts participated in the two-day championship, which was organised by Angul District Muaythai Association, under the aegis of All Orissa Muaythai Association.
