The reign of Asif Haque (Cuttack) and Krishan Prusty (Bhubaneswar) continued unabated as the duo bagged a double each in the 8th KDTTA All-Odisha Open Table Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Saheed Nagar Indoor Hall here today.
Asif won the two titles in youth boys` and men`s singles, while Krishan emerged champion in sub-junior boys` singles and junior boys` doubles with Sarthak Mishra as partner. Krishan`s elder sister Samartha capped a hat-trick for their family by capturing the crown in women`s singles.
Local girl Suryosmita Aparajita and Yoshita Jammula came to limelight as new talents by winning titles in sub-junior girls` and cadet girls` categories respectively. Lalatendu Patra, Anjali Agarwal and Bikash Singh secured the remaining three titles in cadet boys`, junior girls` and junior boys` singles categories respectively.
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Odisha head, Dandu Meher handed over the trophies at the closing function. Host Khurda District Table Tennis Association president Loknath Samal, secretary Smruti Ranjan Das, Odisha State Table Tennis Association vice-president C R Mohanty and chief referee Bijan Das Mohapatra were present on the occasion.

Cadet boys` singles: Lalatendu Patra (KIIT Int School) bt Sanchit Saha (KIIT Int School) 3-1 (9-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-4, 11-1).
Sub-junior girls` singles: Suryosmita Aparajita (Bhubaneswar) bt Ankita Senapati (Bhubaneswar) 4-1 (10-12, 13-11, 12-10, 11-6, 12-10).
Sub-junior boys` singles: Krishan Prusty (Bhubaneswar) bt M Eswar Rao (Cuttack) 4-2 (6-11, 15-3, 14-12, 11-8, 11-6).
Junior girls` singles: Anjali Agrawal (Bhubaneswar) bt Suryosmita Aparajita 4-3 (9-11, 4-11, 13-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-5, 11-1).
Junior boys` singles: Bikash Singh (RSP) bt Krishan Prusty 4-0 (11-7, 11-6, 11-5, 11-6).
Junior boys` doubles: Kishan Prusty-Sarthak Mishra (Bbubaneswar) bt M Iswar Rao-K Kartik (Cuttack) 3-1.
Youth boys` singles: Asif Haque bt Saswat Samal (Khurda) 4-1 (11-13, 11-7, 11-4, 11-7, 11-9).
Women`s singles: Samartha Prusty (Bhubaneswar) bt Soumya Gayatri Tripathy (Khurda) 3-0 in round-robin league.
Men`s singles: Asif Haque (Cuttack) bt Sagar Ghatge (AG Odisha) 4-2 (11-9, 7-11, 10-12, 11-3, 11-8, 12-10).
