Odisha Cricket Association today announced state senior, under-25, under-19 men and under-19 women’s teams for respective national or zonal tournaments, scheduled to start this month. Odisha and Sunrisers Hyderabad allrounder Biplab Samantaray will lead a 15-member senior team in their opening Ranji Trophy Elite Group-A League match against Punjab to be held at Mohali from October 27 to 30.
Opening batsman Sandip Mulia was named captain of the 16-member Odisha-A (U-25) team for their Col C K Nayudu Trophy opening Elite Group-C league match against Uttar Pradesh, scheduled to be played at Muzzafar Nagar, UP from October 28 to 31. Six others have been chosen as stand-by.
Middle-order batsman Ranjit Singh will lead a 17-member State under-19 team for their first two matches of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy East Zone One-Day League, which is set to take place at Kolkata from October 20 to 28.
International allrounder Swagatika Rath will lead a 16-member state women’s team in the East Zone U-19 One-Day League Tournament to be held at Guwahati (Assam) from October 25 to 31.
